A little hung over today after going to the pub last night, but not too bad.
Went for a surf this morning which cleared my head. It is crazy how quiet the beach is this time of year. In summer there is so many people about with life guards, the surf club folks training and having comps. The surf club people are referred to as clubbies and it is funny how they don’t like the surfers and the surfers don’t like them. All my local buddies are surfers and weren’t clubbies but I was a clubby growing up.
I found these pics below somewhere and thought I’d post them up for you guys. The surf club involved is out in WA (Western Austalia) and looks like the usual shenanigans at a surf club.
I think I’m off for a nap and then I’m heading over to some mates for a BBQ.

These are terrible speedos, although the guys wearing them are OK I would not be seen wearing them.
These are the speedos of the North Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club! They look great on the bedroom floor 🙂
AussieBum had a suit similar to these ones in their early days called the Soda Stripe, which I think you’ve had pictured on here a few times, Dave…I’ve got some, and I like them, those these guys pull them off much better than I ever could (and likewise it would probably be more fun to pull them off of them, too!). I, personally, like that design–it has a kind of “innocent retro” vibe to it which might excuse the fact that they’re speedos for some people…or not. 😉

I have 2 pairs of the Aussiebum Soda Stripe, 1 in blue and the other in red and I like them too although I don’t wear them too often. They definitely look good on the bedroom floor. I have seen the blue one’s on a couple of guys but agree you need the right bod to pull it off.
Dave, please post some more pics, I hate going on your site and seeing these terrible speedos.
