To be honest I don’t follow the Aussie swimming too much these days – I grew up in the days of Kieran Perkins and Haley Lewis and Lisa Kenny-Currie.
But, I am a huge Thorpey fan!!! I think the guy is the bees knees. He is always nice on camera and obviously he kicked some arse in the pool. I saw last night that he is making a comeback – whoohooo!!!!
One thing I was wondering though – is he ‘out’?
He should be careful though – his nick name “Thorpedo” rhymes with Speedo – and that is now a sacred word.
I’ve had a bunch of emails of support and sympathy after the court thingy on Thursday. Not being a lawyer I’m not really sure what the judgement means – I figure the Evil Speedo Corporation will try and steal my domains off me. But that is OK – this site already has another major domain – www.AussieSpeedoGuy.org which will keep running and it doesn’t effect my flagship site – www.SwimmerBoyz.com since it doesn’t have ‘Speedo’ in the domain name.
The last paragraph of the judgement says I have to pay the Evil Speedo Corporations legal fees….. I couldn’t afford a lawyer to defend myself – go figure.

Thanks for your support mate – I’m not surprised that you are one of the first to reply to this post, you are great supporter.
The Evil Speedo Corporation had a barrister, a partner and 2 lawyers at all the hearings – I have no idea what that would cost but I’m guessing it is a lot.
Despite their hourly fees the lawyers couldn’t find me before it went to court…. so I’m going to wager that they will have trouble finding me now.
I’m going to have to keep a few things close to my chest over the next month or so but you know I’ve been doing this for a while and I am pretty good at my job.

He just needs to have the kahuna’s to admit it like Matt Mitcham. People will not care either way.

Last picture I saw of Ian Thorpe he was so out of shape, good to hear we will be back in competitive swimming. Matt Mitcham is such an eye candy, although not seen any recent picture of him.
I reckon he is too. He’s been on tv in the UK recently announcing that he’ll be back swimming competitively and he was part of the BBC swimming commentary team a while back.
Looks sexy as f*** in a suit – whether swim or formal! I’m sure we’d get used to his size too.
