This morning Kip woke up to 5″ (12.5cms) of powder in Breckenridge, I have a feeling that by the end of the day he’ll have received more than 5″ (I suppose I’m pretty average 7″ sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less).

I’m writing this blog post from the back of an airport shuttle sitting on Interstate 70 on my way from Denver Airport to Kip’s place in Breckenridge.  It has been one heck of a long day that started at my front door, train from Gosford, Sydney to LA, LA to Denver, train from the terminal to baggage and now a shuttle.

I got a little sleep on the plane but I am looking forward to stripping down to my speedos, pouring a stiff drink and getting into Kip’s hottub.

Then a blowjob would be perfect – hehehe – Kip are you reading this?

Is anyone surprised that my weekend was crazy yet again.

I was well behaved, I got up early on Saturday morning to watch the Wallabies get spanked by the All Blacks.  At half time I called some New Zealand mates of mine to catch up and all is well down there although they are having a pretty bad winter snow wise.

Then I had some friends from Denver come up on Saturday about lunch time and we went for a great mountain bike ride making it back home about 8pm for hottub time and that was when the shit started to hit the fan.

These Denver folks are friends of mine and normally they are good fun but the husband and wife, who were high school sweethearts and have been married for 7 years although they are both a little older than me at 30yo, they are on the rocks.

It was terrible, maybe everyone was tired, nobody had that much to drink so can’t blame that.  Both husband and wife were just as bad.  They ended up getting the shits at each other in the hottub and she stormed off and then we had a late dinner and he got the shits.  I was embarrassed for them and for Kip being his house (he has hung out with them a bunch as well so not like they were complete strangers).

When they started carrying on during dinner I finally couldn’t hold my tongue anymore and pretty much told them not to bring their baggage into Kip’s house and if they couldn’t manage that then I’ll be happy to walk them out to the car.

Hopefully they figure it out but I’m not optimistic over the long run at least.

Thankfully they wanted to avoid Sunday afternoon traffic and didn’t hang out too much on Sunday morning.  After a couple of hours of work Kip and I chilled out on the couch and watched a couple of movies….. maybe that is why they use the word ‘gay’, we are definitely much happier than most married couples I know.

I’m down in Denver for the weekend and it is crazy down here.

I’ve never really been out or partied down here and Kip and I are staying with our Denver speedo buddies – you’ve heard what we have gotten up to between the four of us up in the mountains.  One of the guys had a birthday so Kip and I thought we’d shoot the hour and a bit drive down and party it up.

This place is amazing!!!!

Last night we went out to Stoney’s bar to watch a basketball game between Kansas and I don’t know who.  One of the Denver boys went to that university and the bar is the home of the KU fans so it was rather loud considering Kansas won.  Then today we have been hanging out in Washington Park.  I’ve never seen anything like this in my life.  There has to be maybe 20,000 people in the park.  Everyone is having fun and behaving well.  Lots of volleyball games going on and maybe  a little beer drinking.  These Denver folks use their parks like we use our beaches.

It has been a hell of a roller coaster ride over the last month or so.

I haven’t spoken much about my travels or travel plans but the lease on my home on the Central NSW Coast was coming up for renewal and with the Evil Speedo Corporation suing me I didn’t want to cause any embarrassment to my friends or myself so I thought a road trip was a good idea to both clean my head, keep a low profile and catch up with some old friends and meet some new ones.

Part 1: San Francisco
I’ve got some really good friends who live in San Fran.  They have one of those beautful old 3 story homes right in the middle of the city which they’ve spent the last 5yrs fixing up and it is gorgeous.  The wife half of the couple is recently pregnant for the first time and they were more than happy to rent on of their many spare rooms to me for a month or so.  I love San Francisco as a city and hanging out with these guys makes me feel like a local.  I’ll stay here until after Xmas/New Years before picking up a car and driving north.

Part 2: Road Trip
This is going to be huge and a hell of a lot of fun.  I’ll buy a car in San Fran and head north. I’ve got some friends in Portland, Oregon who I’ll swing by and say hello – maybe get a couple of days snowboarding Mt. Hood.   Then I’ll stop in Washington State and get a few days snowboarding Mt. Bachelor (which gets the most snow of anywhere on the planet) and Stevens Pass (where some friends have a cabin).

From Seatle I’ll head into Canada. I have spent some time in Canada (2 winters) and I have too many mates to catch up with.  Hopefully I’ll board at Whistler then head east to the Okanagan where I spent those 2 winters.  Hopefully I’ll be able to spend a couple of weeks up here before crossing the Canadian Rockies and driving to Banff.  I love Banff and could easily live there year round.  Not sure how much boarding I’ll get in Banff but it will be good to catch up with some Aussie mates who are there for the winter.

After Banff I’ll head back to the US.  I don’t know as many folks in this area but getting to ride some of the Montana resorts like Whitefish or Big Sky would be great but I’m not sure if that will work out.

Then, I’ll arrive at Kips place in Breckenridge.

Part 3: Breckenridge
Each year I try to get over and see Kip in Breck.  He and his sister live in a great house right in town and Breck is an awesome town and an awesome mountain.

I don’t think I’ll get down to Breck until the end of January or even Febuary.

It is great when I get to stay with Kip – we get a bunch of work done and we get to party pretty hard.  As well as some pretty hot jacuzzi sessions.  My plan is to stay in Breck until spring break and then head to Vegas.

Part 4: Back to San Fran
This is a drive that I’ve wanted to do for years but never had the chance.  Mainly just Vegas, Grand Canyon and then through Yosemite National Park back to San Fran is the plan.

A week in Vegas (maybe) over spring break sounds like it could be fun.

Part 5: What next?
I have no idea what I’ll do when I get back to San Fran but I’m sure something will pop up.
