I’m not the biggest fan of social media, I’m still blogging so I must be old school.
I have a personal Facebook account with like 800 friends which kind of sucks because people post sooooo much rubbish (like crappy videos that they report) that I never get to see what anyone is really up to and I’m not on it very much. I have had a few work Facebook profiles but they seem to get shut down, I’ve had 2 or 3 accounts with the 5,000 limit of friends get shut down which is a pain.
A little while back I setup a whole new bank of social media stuff (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr) and I haven’t posted anything naughty on there and mostly it is just reposting stuff that I write here. I still really don’t get the whole Twitter thing. I did sign up to some famous peoples Twitter and I couldn’t believe the amount of crap that was on there – I couldn’t read 1% of it so I don’t follow anyone famous anymore.
Over the last couple of days I have reached a couple of milestones though – I have 400 Facebook friends and 200 Twitter followers – I don’t think the Kardashian’s have anything to worry about.

Otherwise it is just a quiet Sunday here, I went for a surf this morning with the boys. Surfer Chick didn’t join in so I’ll see what happens there. I think I’ll spend the rest of day just doing some work and chilling out in my speedos.
I have a personal account on Facebook (friends with my grandparents, cousins etc). I think it is fun but I’m not addicted to it by any stretch of the imagination. Around Xmas I decided I’d create an account to promote my site SwimmerBoyz.com and a place to post a little more like this blog.
Last week Facebook deleted my account and now I don’t have access to the pages I created.
They took it down for a single very PG-Rated photo. I know they have decency rules and I thought I was playing ball but obviously not enough. It was funny the number of complaints that people filed against me for similar photos and Facebook always rejected them which I thought was great.
Ow well. I’ve created a new profile. Not sure how much I’ll use it but it is somewhere to chat with people if I’m bored. Feel free to ‘friend’ me guys.
I also have a Twitter account which I’ve had for ages but I still don’t really get Twitter…. I hope that doesn’t mean I’m getting old.
I’ve always loved the ‘Speedo Photo of the Day’ section on my site SwimmerBoyz.com. When I redesigned the site a few years ago it was on the top of the list of things that I wanted included in the site and it has turned out really popular.
Now I’m thinking I’d love to take it to some of the new mediums. Kip and I have been working a little bit on an Android App for a photo of the day (we’d do Apple as well but Apple Apps need to be approved and guys in speedos is far too ‘naughty’ for Apple unfortunately).
Last week I started a Facebook page for ‘Speedo Photo of the Day’ which has taken off a lot quicker than I expected, as of this morning there are just shy of 2,000 likes. This has definitely given Kip and I a boost and we’ll start working harder on the mobile app.

Well guys I had a fantastic day today snowboarding the Sunshine at Sunshine Village Ski Resort. Gorgeous day and a great crew of people.
Funny enough though I have been doing a bunch of work.
