Last week I mentioned running into a friend at the pool, I’ll call him Alex here but that isn’t his real name.

I ran into Alex yesterday at the pool again and we shared a lane and we both swam 2kms which was a first for Alex.  He is quicker than I am but never went close to swimming that far in one set.  Sharing the lap with me forced him to slow down which he said helped.  His triathlon swim is 3.8kms so 2kms is a fair way off but he is pretty darn fit to start with.

Both of us were wearing classic black speedos (his speedo brand, mine arena).  All went well.

Then last night I was at the pub with some of the boys and Alex was out as well.  He joined our group, his girlfriend was there and some of the other guys girlfriends/wives were out.

Everyone was having a fun night and a few drinks (I was well behaved but maybe some people were having a few more than others – hahaha).

Later in the night Alex and I were off to the side and Alex told me that he knows I’m Aussie Speedo Guy…..

I’m not out to any of my Central Coast crew and this was like a kick in the guts.

Alex must have seen the look on my face and quickly assured me that it was all OK and that it was nobody elses business and he would keep my secret.  He also has read enuf of the blog to know that “It is OK Dave, you like girls too.”

That was pretty much the extent of the conversation.

Should be interesting this week but I’m pretty sure Alex won’t say anything to any of my mates about it.

Of course, if Alex wants to do some ‘other’ training then we could use his lunch hour at my place – hehehehe.  Wishful thinking I’m sure.

I’m posting these pics because this guy looks similar to Alex (minus the tattoos).  And I’ve only ever seen him in a classic black speedo.

Will arrived late last night and we had a few drinks and a light dinner before hitting the sack (and Will’s sack hitting my chin – hehe).

I’m up early today and it is looking like a nice day but a storm is forecast for later this arvo so we are off to wine country for lunch and then back here for a BBQ that might not happen depending on the storm and then we’ll head out to the local pub and see how we go with the local ladies.  I love going out and knowing that if you strike out there is a sure thing back at home.

I think I have time for a quick swim before we leave.

It is before 7am on a Friday morning here – what the hell am I doing up this early?!?!?!

I just went for a quick dip but it is still a little too cold to be enjoyable but it did wake me up.  It is another stunning day.

I’m up early because I’m off to play golf today.  What a way to ruin a beautiful day.  I have absolutely no time for golf at all but a good friend of mine and I are going to play with his Dad at some fancy course a little to the north of here.  I’ve never been on this property but it does overlook the beach and there are some 120 bunkers on the course which sounds scary.  I lost my virginity on the beach, it wasn’t too fond a memory and the sand in these bunkers might prove to get in my crack as well.

As for the rest of the weekend my plans are up in the air – someone is having a birthday so we’ll probably head out to the pub tonight and then on Saturday I’m either going camping (again I don’t know where I’m just tagging along) or going dirt bike riding.  Either way should be fun and I am LOVING this weather.

I’m up reasonably early considering the night I had last night!!!

It is a gorgeous day and once I finish a few things I’m off for a swim and then I’ve got some mates coming around for a BBQ and some backyard cricket.

This is why I moved back to Australia!!!

We had a big night at the local pub last night, slept in (unforuntately on my own), 5 minutes from waking up I was in the surf going for a swim and now I’m sitting on the couch watching the Ashes.

For those who don’t know ‘The Ashes’ is a cricket trophy that Australia and England play for every 4 years or so.  The ‘Ashes’ are from some stumps burned in the 1880’s.  I saw the urn that holds the ‘Ashes’ at the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) a few years back and it is surprisingly small.

Unforuntately, my two house mates are here as well so I’m not sitting here in speedos as I’d like to.  But that is OK, on Monday I’m going to be living in a 100% speedo friendly house – hahaha.

No doubt there will be some backyard cricket this afternoon and a BBQ for dinner (no shrimp on the barbie – I don’t think I’ve ever had ‘shrimp on the barbie’ – we don’t even call them shrimp – we call them prawns).  It is getting a bit hot so I’m going to go jump in the surf again.

What a massive weekend!!!  Sorry I haven’t been online much over the last few days guys.

Being my last weekend the boys organised a big poker game on Friday which ended up spilling over to the pub.  I had a game of golf lined up on Saturday morning and I really didn’t want to be out of bed but I sacked up and subsequently played terrible but it was good to get out.  Then a BBQ at my place on Saturday night and I went to bed just after 6am (again).

Yesterday was pretty much a waste although I did go for a walk and a swim at the beach in the afternoon.  This morning I decided I needed to sleep in and that is exactly what I did…. now I’ve got a stack to off stuff to do work wise but packing up to leave won’t take me too long at all.

Tomorrow morning (Wednesday downunder) I’m catching an early train into Sydney for a couple of days with Will.  It has been weeks since I got laid so I’m looking forward to that!!!
