Speedo Ride

2 comments Posted by

Yesterday I finally spent a little bit of time in my speedos are the beach…. the weather here has been horrible, windy, rainy and not speedo friendly at all.  I’ve feel like I’ve been imprisoned and I am getting fat – haha.

So today I organised a ride up in the beautiful hinterland behind the coast here.  With two guys who are members of this blog.

Yes, I had some naughty intentions in mind…. there is a gorgeous waterfall and swimming hole near the top of the climb we were going to ride and it would be speedos of course.  Then I thought we would end up back at my place and hang out in my pool.

I was up early, getting my lycra on and just as I was about to walk out the door the guys called me and told me to have a closer look out the window.  Looked a little overcast so I went up to the roof and looked west (towards the hinterland and where we would be riding) and it looked darm an ominous… and not riding weather.

Ride was postponed so now I’m back in the office working.

I had hoped to go to bed tonight with a sore ass…. not just from a big road ride….

Did you know Lance Armstrong is a speedo fan?  Here he is on the bike and click here for an old blog post with more pics of him speedo’ing it up.  Post is from 2015 (yes, I’ve been blogging for a while).

More guys should speedo it up when cycling.

Super Hot Speedo Man

Not much of a post for you guys today.  This guy is super hot thought – I love that he has an all over tan, you know he wears those speedos at the beach.

My cycling mate left this morning and last night we both had a few too many whiskeys.  It was good to catch up with him although it was a shame there was no ‘hanky-panky’.

Since I’ve feeling a bit dusty I think I might lie down and watch some of the Tour De France.  I promise I’ll have something more fun to post tomorrow.

Swimmers Body

I mentioned that this weekend I’ve got a mate of mine from Sydney in town crashing at my place while he does some road bike training.  I think with the Tour De France on people are excited about bike riding.  I hate riding on the road but watching the Tour is something I enjoy, the camera views and some of those beautiful European towns look amazing.

My mate is 100% str8 and I met him years ago in Canada snowboarding and we’ve kept in touch.  It has been fun though seeing him hanging out in his lycra cycling gear.  When I first met him he was just out of college and a little bit over weight and now being a cycle junkie he has really slimmed down and looks pretty good.

There are some pretty hot guys at the pool these days as well, being a bit colder I suppose it has separated the boys from the men.  I will use this as a bit of inspiration to get my arse to the pool this coming week.

Anyone want to join me?

Memories of San Francisco

I love San Francisco!!!

For so many reasons as well – the city is beautiful, it has a huge gay influence/community, it is open minded and I have a very good friend who lives there with his wife.

Sometimes I do get judgemental about people – people who marry to young and I’m not sure that is always right, people who say they are flaming homosexuals when they are 17yo and I’m not sure that isn’t right either. Visiting San Francisco and living in the Lower Haite neighbourhood for 2 weeks I have this feeling of being ‘fresh’, open minded a little more than I was (and you guys know I’ve pretty open minded).

I’m not sure if I am articulating this as best I could (perhaps I can blame the jetlag) but I feel open to new ideas, I feel my own predjudices have been watered down and I really feel alive after living in the big city for 2 weeks.

It really is a wonderful place and I’d like to share with you guys some photos that I took while I was there – there are some more which my mate will hopefully send through in the next couple of days and I’ll just add them to this post.

My first bike ride was a 16 mile round trip, down to Golden Gate park. I think this is the head engineer.

San Francisco

After a tourista photo pose we rode over the bridge on the ocean (eastern) side which opens to cyclists ONLY at 3:30pm.  This was an eye opener for me and it was pretty awesome to have the entire bridge to just cyclists!!!

Another day I was taken on a walk to my favourite restaurant – it was nearly an hour walk along the coast line where my host and I played some chess and had a dozen oysters…..  Can anyone name the restaurant we were walking towards?
