I tell you guys what, I love the winter and I’ve had a few in Canada and New Zealand and I’ve had a great few trips at Kip’s place in Colorado over the last couple of years but…. I’m definitely a beach boy.

Yesterday at Birdie Beach was just perfect, nobody around, in and out of the water just soaking up the rays.  This morning, I’m sitting at the kitchen table doing some work (writing to you guys), drinking coffee, wearing nothing but a pair of new speedos (I’ll tell you guys about them later in week) and once I hit the ‘publish’ button on this post I’m going for a surf.  That is my kind of day!!!

And, Alex told me that he’ll swing by after work for a ‘drink’ – hahaha, we all know that is code for anal sex right?

Last night I fell asleep wearing an old pair of navy Arena lycra speedos.  I normally sleep naked but sometimes I change it up.

Hey guys, I’m blogging from Colorado after a day snowboarding in the beautiful sunshine followed by a post snowboard hottub session.

My trip went fine and I didn’t get searched with my red speedos on.  When I arrived at Kip’s place it was just on sunset and I pretty much dumped my bags, stripped down to my red speedos, poured a drink and got into the hottub.  Kip’s greeting was pretty nice too as he was wearing a tiny pair of Arena speedos that I left behind for him last time I was in town.

I only touched on it yesterday about depression but it seems to have opened a can of worms.

Is the gay community more vulnerable to depression?

Despite the evolution in social acceptance, does ‘coming out’ still trouble a lot of us?

I’m not out.  My circle of friends here in Aussie think I’m 100% str8.  I am completely comfortable with my current situation, you guys know I like girls as well as guys.  You know I’ve actually been given a hard time over the years BECAUSE I like girls from my gay friends.  If I was 100% out to everyone, I would feel that it would restrict my str8 side.

It is easier for me staying in the closet and I’m fine with that – at this point in my life, I don’t want to identify/explain my sexuality.

Perhaps I’m taking the easy option.  It must be terrifying for guys who are gay to come out.  I’m sure friendships are lost/broken by coming out which is horrible but a fact of life unfortunately.

Does this whole, explaining ones sexuality bring a bigger risk of depression, anxiety to our community?

I’d love to hear your thoughts guys – I’m off to the pool.  Alex can’t make it today, I was going to skip it but I was wearing my black arena speedos and I saw this pic and I want his body which was enough motivation for me to head to the pool.
