Summer here on the Queensland coast is just gorgeous.  My Colorado friends are always yammering on about how great their summers are (“Come for the winter, stay for the summer” is something they love saying).  But I reckon that our winters, are better than their summers.

I think I need to plan a camping trip up the coast a little bit (you can drive 4WD’s up the beach which is pretty cool).

Would anyone want to join me?

Today I had a fantastic day on the beach and I think my speedo tan is complete…..

I don’t think I have ever had such a great speedo tan but right now, I think it is just perfect.

All the time I have been spending at the pool and at the beach has just been fantastic and not something I have been able to do for this long before.  I am stoked!!!

I have had a bunch of new members over the last couple of weeks and I feel like I should be thanking them for supporting me.  It is only $5.

I created the members only area so that I could share more of my selfies and share more of my experiences that I don’t really want to be 100% public.  Since then, I have received a group of fantastic guys who are members and I really appreciate their support.

I have never owned a pair of green speedos.  Kind of odd but I suppose black, blue and red are a lot more common.

With that in mind, I was topping up my collection of ‘swimming’ speedos (ie speedos that I can wear in public to the public pool) and thought I would try a pair of green speedos.

Now I have them in green, blue and black (I actually ruined my first pair of black ones of these cutting out the lining and I ‘slipped’ which was a bummer).

Yesterday was a gorgeous, early winters, day here so I headed to one of my secret quiet beach spots for the morning.  The purpose was to test out my new green speedos.

If I look back of time, my speedo purchases have definitely been influenced by seeing hot guys wearing them.  Either models or amateur guys.  Right now I have a few pair of ADDICTED speedos and it is definitely because of all the pics popping up of real guys wearing them.

My Turbo speedos that I wear to waterpolo, that purchase (they are pretty expensive) was influenced by some very hot guys (often the header image on the blog here).

How about you guys?  What influences your speedo purchases?

First up, these are the speedos I’m going to wear to the pool today.  Adidas 3-stripe, with red stripes.  These just fit perfect and I love the lycra material….

I have these in black and I often wear them when I am working on my speedo tan in private because they are a little smaller.  Still suitable for the pool for lap swimming but only just.  The ‘Arena’ on the front of them does crack and is falling apart.

I don’t have as many AussieBum’s in my collection as I used to.  I bought four pairs of just classic AussieBum’s for lap swimming but they don’t seem to last very well colour wise.  I just checked, I have a navy pair that are nearly as faded as the pair below, and a hot pink pair which the colour runs so I have to be really careful where I wear them.

I own a pair of these Arena speedos in the exact same colour.  They are too small to be worn at the public pool but they feel amazing.  I think they are in a box of my things at Kip’s place in Colorado….

Happy Australia Day everyone, I woke up to a bright blue sky so it will be a cracker of a day.

I am headed up the coast a little bit to have a BBQ with some mates and will probably crash and spend the night there.  Nothing naughty planned but maybe this weekend…..
