I don’t mean to sound like a cynic, but it seems like ‘everyone’ has a special day or week (those in the US know what ‘month’ it is right now).
Today in Australia, it is Red & Yellow Day.
I had never heard of it before either, I think it is the first time they are doing it. It is for a good cause though, it is for our Surf Life Savers (paid and volunteer). The red and yellow refers to the red & yellow flags they put up on the beach where you are supposed to swim between (because there are life savers on patrol there).
Any long time readers of this blog will know that I’ve had some ‘interesting’ experiences with surf life savers over the years. C’mon, guys at the beach in speedos!!!
I’ll go through the archives and find some of my ‘life saver’ experiences and share them over the weekend with you guys.
