I’m not sure what to tell you. I’m a happily married guy with a family who has some exhibitionist tendencies. I have always been drawn toward Speedos and smaller. I don’t know why, but I always have. I grew up in (and still live in) a very conservative area, which didn’t provide any outlets for this unless you joined a swim team. Unfortunately, I don’t feel that holds 100% true for thongs, so I still limit myself to briefs and squarecuts in general.
As I started getting older and noticing the consequences of complacency, I started making some changes a couple years ago to get healthier. About a year ago, I found that I was recapturing the physique of my youth from just 10-15 years ago. I took things to a new level, joined a gym, and started working even harder on rebuilding my body and began to try building muscle mass. I saw an opportunity to more than just wear brief swimwear (which I would do regardless), but to do it proudly with a body I worked hard for. Being fit again has given me the confidence to go with bolder cuts from Aussiebum.
All these changes, and the surely the health benefits, have improved things like my attitude and certainly have helped me feel more attractive (although I still feel like skinny as a pole.) Some of my other “interests” and energies of my youth have also returned, but it can be hard to find time to utilize those energies with kids running around. Boy is it a lot of fun when we do find the time!
