The ‘Speedo Photo of the Day‘ is part of my site SwimmerBoyz.com.  When I did the last redesign of the site it was something I was really excited about and this coming week will see the 1,000th Speedo Photo of the Day which is pretty cool.

Today’s Speedo Photo of the Day is pretty awesome, those AussieBum’s are the very first AussieBum speedos that I ever bought.

And just for you guys, this is tomorrows ‘Speedo Photo of the Day‘.  What a tastey speedo butt that is?

I’m sure you have seen the banners around this blog as well as heard me talk about SwimmerBoyz.com, so what is SwimmerBoyz.com?

SwimmerBoyz.com was the first ever site I created, originally it was SpeedoBoyz.com but I was sued by the Evil Speedo Corporation (it made the front page of the Sydney Morning Herald and the London Times which turned out to be awesome for business).  I started SwimmerBoyz.com when I was a teenager back in March 2001!!!!  Holy cow time flies.

The started as just my collection of speedo photos.  I had some naughty photos of myself which I wanted to share ‘privately’ and having the site seemed like a good idea.

Pretty quickly it turned in 6,500 full sorted photos

These photos still makes up the backbone of the photo archives – and yes, those photos of me are still in there but you’ll have to dig to find them.

Things were moving pretty quick with the internet and movies were slowly becoming affordable so I started gathering a movies archive.  At this stage the site was still 100% free.  After making the movies archive public I got a server bill for $800 which still being in high school I couldn’t afford and not really the thing I could ask my parents for, just imagine that conversation:

Mum, Dad, can I have $800 to pay for all the speedo movies
random people have watched on my speedo fetish website?

That is when I had to figure out how to pay for the downloads.  It took me a while but I managed to keep the site online and figure out a model where it kind of broke even.

From there, things just kept getting bigger, and bigger and bigger.

Now the site has the following stats:

• 135 gigabytes of movies
• 9,800 photos (probably 50 of those are of me)
• 553 active members (as of just now)

Most importantly, I’m still really proud of SwimmerBoyz.com.  Last night Kip and I got home after partying and we were both pretty horny but a little sore from the pounding we’ve been giving each other so I plugged my laptop into Kip’s 60″ TV, loaded up SwimmerBoyz.com and watched that movie of two guys in AussieBums fucking poolside.

It is my personal speedo movie collection, it just
happens that I get to share it with other people.

A couple of other things I love about the site are:

• I’ve never had a pop-up ad on it
• The download speeds are awesome so the movies looked fantastic on the big screen TV.
• Now SwimmerBoyz.com members have free access to the blog members area.

As you can tell, I’m pretty happy with SwimmerBoyz.com, I can’t imagine the hours I’ve put into it over the years but I love it and the feedback I get from members seems to be pretty awesome as well.

Why is there a ‘membership’?

Back in September Alex was going through his breakup with his girlfriend and he and I were fucking like rabbits.  I was sharing this with my readers/fans but I was a little concerned for privacy for Alex and myself.  Being able to share with you guys some private things is what has made this blog so successful over the last 10 years.

Also, the time I spend writing up some of my experiences and the photo shoots was starting to get out of hand.  I was spending 4 hours a day on this blog and although it does promote my site SwimmerBoyz.com, I just couldn’t justify spending that kind of time without the blog helping to pay the rent in some way.

I love this blog. I love sharing my experiences with you guys and I don’t like to half-arse things.  So, in order to keep the blog running I decided to trial a $5 monthly membership.  This also addressed some of the privacy issues since some of my experiences are now not 100% public.

What does ‘membership’ give you?

Since I started the ‘membership’ I have been blogging just as much as I usually do but now I just restrict some posts.  For example, yesterdays story about Alex’s first time having a cock in his arse was 2,350 words for members but only a sample for non-members.  Tomorrow there is a new model gallery that will only show one photo for non-members.

Later today, members will have a new sample movie which is a new thing for the blog – with over 5,000 daily readers posting movies just kills my bandwidth, but it is something I love sharing with you guys.

I have been amazed at the popularity of the $5 membership, I really appreciate your support and it has allowed me to spend more time on the blog delivering something that I know you guys want.

This is what I’ve been working on for the last couple of weeks guys.

I think the new ‘Premium Members’ area looks fantastic.  I’ve still got a bunch of tweeking to do but the guts of it is working.

My idea behind creating a ‘Premium Members’ area was a place where I could post some more sample movies and galleries but more importantly, a place where I can post some stuff that I don’t really want to be 100% public.

Alex’s recent break up with his girlfriend is something I’ve wanted to share with you guys but I’d hate for someone who knows Alex, or worse his ex-girlfriend, to read it in a public forum.

I chose a $5 price point so it wouldn’t be prohibitive but still help cover some of the costs of running this blog.

This won’t change my posting here at all, just some more sensitive things will be available for ‘Premium Members’.

Today I have just put up the 900th Speedo Photo of the Day on my site SwimmerBoyz.com.

This was part of a site redesign of SwimmerBoyz.com that I did nearly 3 years ago now.  I think this is the 3rd or 4th version of the site which has been great.  Right now I’m working on a redesign of this site which you guys might see some changes later this week.
