Well guys I’m writing to your from my new room here.
I spent the afternoon here setting up wireless internet for the house and I’ve just got it working 100%. The place I’m at is in a suburb in Queenstown about 10 minutes walk from town. Views that you would just die for.
Where I’m renting is a 4 bedroom house with a granny flat. The owners Michelle and Peter (not sure if Michelle has 1 or 2 L’s) have 2 young girls and they live in the house and the granny flat is 2 bedrooms with its own bathroom and small kitchen. They are going to rent out the other bedroom in the granny flat but right now I’ve got the whole place to myself.
They seem like great people – Peter is from the South Island and Michelle is from the Netherlands. Peter runs a tourism operation (I won’t mention it here) in town and seems like a great outdoors kinda bloke.
The arrangement is awesome and they said that the person moving into hte 2nd bedroom would have to pass my ‘approval’. The rent isn’t that much and they have some great neighbours. The wireless net that I’ve just setup is going to be shared between their neighbours on either side and everyone loves Dave right at this minute.
There is absolutely no rootage option on Michelle or Peter BUT getting to choose my roommate might be run. On top of that – they have asked me if I would like to house-sit for a friend of theirs for 2 weeks. I haven’t seen the house yet but it sounds amazing and I get free rent if I look after their dog.
The cream on this deal is that they have a hot tub!!!!!!
I’m soooo excited. Their friends (whom I haven’t met yet) are going away for a month so I’m going to be king of the castle. Any guys coming down to Queenstown who don’t mind some hot tub speedo fun?
