This morning I was a little late on my swim, coffee and walk along the beach.  It was getting close to 10am by the time I banged out 1,500m at the pool and started the short walk back to my place.

Walking along the beach the tide was pretty high so there wasn’t as much sand and I walked past three guys who were face down working on their speedo tans.  Two were older guys, one guy was maybe thirties and I couldn’t really tell much since he was face down and didn’t turn around when I walked past.

I was wearing a towel over my speedos, otherwise shirtless, so nothing really for him to turn around for.

Good to see Aussie blokes out in their speedos.  If only there were more guys who looked like this…. I would definitely give him a wave, or a nod or some kind of message telling him to follow me back to my house.

I don’t know about where you guys live but here down-under, in Australia, it definitely feels like speedos are making a come back.

It isn’t really even summer here yet but I feel like I’ve seen more guys wearing speedos casually than ever before.  Just normal guys hanging out at the beach.  The female trend here on the beaches is for chicks wearing g-string/thong backs on their bikinis which is a new phenomenon as well.  Check out BisexualDave.com for some more details on that.

Actually, I just had some new speedos arrive which are more for ‘beach’ wearing than ‘bedroom/fetish’ wearing.  I’ll share some pics with you guys tomorrow.

Fathers Day here in Australia (not sure why we do it on a different day compared to North America) and my new beach down here has been a zoo since Friday afternoon with people from the city flooding in the weekend.

This morning I woke up early, went for a walk/coffee along the beach and went for a swim.

It was about 8:30am and the beach was already getting busy with families and the weather was great (supposed to get some thunder storms later today).  I put down my coffee mug, stripped down to my new speedos and got in the water.  I swam out a little bit and turned around to look at the lock which is on the Surf Life Saving Club building to see the time.  I didn’t notice the time, but I did notice a young guy, right around 30yo I’m guessing, just getting to the waters edge wearing a white speedo!!!

What confidence!!!

I couldn’t believe it, it was awesome.

But it got better…. a few minutes later I turned around and look back towards shore again and the guy was leaving the water.  I hadn’t noticed it from the front but he wasn’t wearing a white speedo, he was wearing a white thong (g-string, mankini, whatever you want to call it)!!!

I have never ever seen that at the beach in the flesh.  And on a Sunday morning when there were a fair few people about.  Nobody cared, and the guy strutted up the beach, no big deal.

I am up early and about to go waterfall hunting in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland…. I was going to go yesterday but I had a late night hottub with the two guys (the two guys I wrote about here) and instead of being in bed early, the three of us drank a little bit of scotch and they tag teamed me well in to the early hours of the morning.  My butt, and head, were a little sore yesterday.

Today, is a new day and I’m up early and ready to go hunt for some waterfalls.

From my research I should be able to go for a swim and lets hope there are some speedos about…  I will endeavour to take some speedo selfies for you guys.

Wow!!!

That is all I can say after hanging out at the beach yesterday here on the Sunshine Coast.  It is a long weekend here and I had some friends from Brisbane brave the traffic to come up and check out my new digs. They have kids so we headed down to the beach which had a few people there.

The wife picked a spot for us and right next to us was a couple (maybe late 20’s) and guess what the guy was wearing?

A pair of red speedos. The classic red Speedo Endurance (of which I’ve owned many pairs).

Some friends, of my friends, joined us and later in the day a guy wearing a classic black AussieBum speedo walked down to the water for a swim and he was gorgeous. The women made fun of their husbands for not speedo’ing it up which was fun.

This is definitely a move towards speedo acceptance that wasn’t there in the past.  What do you guys think?

Here is some more guys hanging out in their red speedos for you guys.

Since I arrived up here on the Sunshine Coast I have been impressed with thee number of guys speedo’ing it up.  Not just old dudes but all across the age spectrum.

For example, today I was on the roof of my building, working on my speedo tan and actual working and as I was about to leave I looking down at the beach and saw a group of guys kicking a soccer ball.  Of the 6 guys, 4 of them were wearing speedos.  My first thought was maybe they were European which explains the soccer and the speedos.  But then, right by them was another two guys throwing a rugby ball and one of them was wearing a speedo.

I just wish I had the courage to speedo it up and go join either of those groups.
