At the local pool here I don’t usually use the change rooms (what we here down under call the ‘locker rooms’).  The pool isn’t far from my place so I usually walk or ride my bike there.  I wear my speedos under my shorts and just slip them off poolside, when I’m done I slip my shorts back on, or sometimes I’ll just wrap a towel around my waist and walk home.

I wish I had the confidence to just walk home in my speedos and nothing else, but I’m not quite that confident.

Yesterday, I was going to meet some friends for drinks and then dinner about half an hour up the coast from my place.  I decided to swing by the pool for some laps on my way so I drove there.  Afterwards, I needed a shower to wash off the chlorine and to put my grown up clothes on.

The change rooms are huge and I imagine most people are like me and don’t really use them.  There was one young guy in there who hadn’t been for a swim, but was getting ready to go use the pool.  He was wearing a speedo, slim, smooth, early twenties.  We said hello and I was in a bit of a rush to shower and get dressed.

The young guy decided to start doing his stretches and seemed to be ‘loitering’ in the change rooms while I got ready.  It was a big room/space so it wasn’t like we were next to each other.

I had to leave and said “Cya later” to the young guy.

I might have to start getting changed a little more after my swimming sessions.

I am working on a post about some of my locker room experiences.  There have been a few over the years.

While searching the archives or previous posts I found these selfies I took years ago in the locker room of the pool I use when I am in Colorado visiting Kip (Kip is my server admin/head tech guy).

I think it is funny/odd that in the USA/Colorado, I was the only guy who would wear a speedo in the lap pool, but in the change rooms guys were walking around naked like it was a nude beach.

Over the last year or so I have seen a few pics of the speedo pictured below, also one with what looks like a popsicle (ice cream).  Does anyone where own one of these speedos?

I don’t think it is something I could really wearing to the pool for lap swimming.

Saying that, today I am going to be brave and for the first time, wear my white Addicted speedos to the pool.  They are well lined so in no way see through (like AussieBums are).
