Again…. Huge weekend

4 comments Posted by

Well this weekend just gone was another huge one on many fronts.

First off on Thursady my lappy died – it just wouldn’t reboot.  I thought I’d see if installing Windows 7 would fix it and it did.  But that took me a couple of days to sort out and even today I’ve still got some software to get installed on it.

Friday I went to the local for a mates birthday – I got home, alone, at 4am, I tore up the dance floor which I only ever do when I’ve drunk lots and lots and lots.

Saturday afternoon I went down to Sydney and helped Will move some heavy stuff into his new apartment (he was living with his parents).  It was only 2 things we had to move and we spent the rest of the afternoon christening his apartment.

We were thinking of having a quiet night and eating in but decided to head out for dinner and we ran into some friends of mine (str8 friends) and another big night was on the cards.  Will and I got to bed about 4am again!!!

On Sunday Will and I were both hungover and spent the entire day in our speedos around his apartment.  We did consider going for a swim or to the beach but it wasn’t that great a day.

Then I drove back up the coast on Monday morning after Will went to work.

It was fun having our own space to do what we wanted and how we wanted.  Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll see Will again until after Xmas.

Red speedos

Wow that was a big weekend!!!

Ended up partying Friday and Saturday night and had a bunch of people around to the house for a BBQ on Sunday arvo.  Today I slept into midday and now I’m running around like a blue arsed fly with all the things I wanted to get done.

I did get laid on Saturday night/Sunday morning – this girl who lives down the street who I’ve been saying ‘hello’ to for the last month was out and she recognised me.  She was absolutely stunning and she was all over me like a rash – I didn’t do anything amazing or even really persue it too much but when the ugly lights came on at the end of the night she asked me if I’d walk her and her friend (who was so drunk she could barely walk) home.

She is really nice and did I mention that she is really really hot and there might be something there.

Anyways – today I’m wearing red speedos so I might as well post some pics of guys in red speedos.

A fresh start

One of the things I have enjoyed about my recent nomadic existence has been that every 6 months or so I got to start fresh. I’d normally sit down and think about the stuff I wanted to change, the bad habits I want to break and the opportunities I want to have a crack at.

I’m not sure about you guys but once I get into a bad routine I find it hard to break – be it sleeping in, drinking/partying too much, not eating right, not exercicing enuf or not working hard enuf.

This move to the beach is a little different for me as I think I might be here for a long period of time and I want to get myself into a good routine.

Here are a few things that I have done during my first couple of days which I want to continue….

  • Get up early – no sleeping in until midday.
  • Eat less – I reckon I can loose 10kgs before Xmas easy.
  • Party and drink a little less.
  • Long list of work projects which I want to get stuck into.

I think those 4 things are all tied into each other.  The last couple of days I’ve been getting up early and walking along the beach to the local bakery and having a proper breakfast, then I’m not hungry during the day, I’m getting a stack of work done before midday and after a few drinks after dinner I’m ready for bed.  Seems like a self perpetuating cycle.  If I can keep it up I’ll be much more productive and seductive in my speedos.

Speaking of new starts – do you guys like the new header image?  Here is another pic of that guy.

New AussieBums

I have been bored out of my brains for the last couple of weeks but tonight that all changes!!!

I’ve been working all day, when I finish this blog post I’m going for a bath, then I’m off to a mates place to watch the rugby and then I’m going to catch up with some friends in town for a few quiet ones.

To top it all off – there is a nasty weather system coming in and the forecast reckons that there will be snow on the ground tomorrow when I wake up.  Now I just need some cute guy or girl (or both) to wake up next to.

I’m in the middle of doing a clothes wash so tonight I’m going to wear my new AussieBum’s under my cargos….. hopefully someone will get a pleasant surprise later tonight…..

These are what they look like – I’ve got the black ones with a blue stripe down the side.

No game

Well last night was a good night catching up with some friends and out on the town I ran into two more friends that I didn’t even know were still in town.

However, I had absolutely no game with the ladies.

I wasn’t drunk enough to get my groove on the dance floor – actually I felt sober as a judge and just gave up well before midnight and after Subway drove home.

Perhaps I have been drinking a little too much since I got back here and the low altitude has me immune to alcohol.  So I’ve decided that other than the occasional social beer I’m not going to drink this week (I’m a spirits drinker – I just can’t drink beer fast enough to get hammered on it).

So today I got up early, went for a swim and now I’m watching the NHL Playoffs.  The weather is pretty nasty outside but I might go for a walk through my new neighbourhood.

Tonight I’m having a couple I met in Canada over for dinner – no hanky panky there but really nice people and I’m cooking up a rack of lamb – my first attempt at this – should be interesting.

I’ve been posting a few scenery photos lately so I think we should get back to the speedos – here are three pairs of speedos that I have worn in the last 2 days….

Last HUGE night

no comment Posted by

Thursday night was a HUGE night up here in the mountains.  Kip got back from Denver and we hit up the town.  Subsequently, I did pretty much nothing all day other than feel terrible (I didin’t spew but perhaps I would have felt better if I did).

My English friends left on Thursday as well and they are pretty much the last house guests for the winter.  Kip and I have decided to change things a little around the house.

First off…. I’m going to run a marathon in June/July.  As I’m not sure where I’m going to be living then I’m not sure which one yet but the Gold Coast Marathon is in early June, the Christchurch Marathon is at the end of May and there is a Macleay River Marathon (on the coast north from Sydney) in June.

It isn’t a hell of a lot of time to train for a marathon but I have been running a bit and I’m hoping that the thinner air here at over 9,000 feet will be of benefit.

Secondly…. Kip and I have no alcohol in the house.  This is a first ever and we are going to try and have no grog in the house for 2 weeks.  If the couple from Denver come up for some naughty hottub action then that will be an obvious exception.

Wish me luck boys.
