I didn’t realize that Tom Daley wasn’t out.  Now the world knows he is.

I met someone this spring…. and that someone is a guy.  It did take me by surprise a little bit.

Kinda like Ian Thorpe, everybody knows, nobody cares (anyone know what movie that quote is from?).

On a serious note, I’m not brave enough to ‘come out’ although I don’t feel it necessary for me to do so since I’m not sure who (or what sex) my partner will be.

I agree with Tom’s comment:

“In an ideal world I wouldn’t be doing this video, because it wouldn’t matter.”

If I start dating a girl, or a guy I promise that I’ll put up a YouTube video sharing the worldly wisdom I have gained during my 20 something years.

Either that means Tom Daley is bisexual or it is a shame that he had to say that when he is gay.  Like myself he might not really know yet either and that is just fine with me.

Last week the Russians adopted a law that bans the discussion of gay rights and relationships.  I’ve never been to Russia and although Vladamir Putin seems like the kinda guy you’d like to have along on a boys camping weekend, I’m sure that on the ground the dictatorial nature of Russian politics isn’t pleasant.

For once I am going to praise President Obama – today he came out and said that instead of boycotting the Russian winter Olympics next week that it would be much classier to have some gay athletes win medals.

Does anyone know of any gay winter Olympic athletes?  I know of the Olympic Divers who are gay – Matthew Mitcham (perhaps the future Mr. Evans) and Greg Louganis.

Do you think Matt Mitcham and his diving partner have had any hanky-panky in the showers?

It turns out that the first openly gay Australian Olympian was also a dive and the first gay Aussie athlete (who came out after the Olympics) was a trampoliner.  With all those fit gymnasts hanging around I wouldn’t be surprised if 100% of gymnasts/divers/trampoliners were gay.

I’ve been wearing a pair of red speedos all day so I thought I’d post some of red speedos.

Otherwise the day has been pretty normal – I went for a 2hr walk about lunch time and although it was a beautiful day it was cold so I went to go for a swim but there were a million kids in the pool. I’m not exaggerating – 1,000,000.

So a swim was off the cards – I hate school holidays.  Instead of a swim in my red speedos I went grocery shopping – woohoooo!!!!  I did buy a rack of lamb – which I’ve never cooked before so if anyone has any suggestions on how to cook it that would be much appreciated.  As a side to the rack of lamb I’ll cook up my favourite mashed sweet potatoes (with lots of feta cheese in it).
