Speedo Friendly Place to Live

3 comments Posted by

I am up in the air on what I’m going to do and where I’m going to live.  I always seem to be up in the air but I’m not complaining at all about the places I do end up living.

The air is getting a little cooler here (still no need for jeans just yet) and it feels like things have definitely turned their head towards the coming winter.

I’ll stay here in Colorado for the beginning of winter for sure.  At least until after Xmas.  Then I think I might need to get my beach back on.  Heading back to the Central NSW Coast in early February would be perfect, school holidays is over, there is still a stack of summer to enjoy, getting a rental property shouldn’t be too hard in Feb.

Another option, would be to find somewhere else in the world on a speedo friendly beach, good internet access and cheaper living cost.  Any ideas guys?

Speedo BBQ

no comment Posted by

Today I was talking to one of my mates in Aussie, where I have spent some time on the Central NSW Coast.  He just got back from a snowboarding trip to Japan and is back on the beach enjoying the warm weather, beach, surf and weekend BBQ’s.

I started looking through some photos (a couple here) from when I was there last and it got me thinking how the Texan Brunette would fit into that group of guys.  I think the funniest thing is that in summer these guys (all of them str8, as far as I know) will be sitting around the house watching football and playing backyard cricket in their footy shorts and no shirt.  Definitely something I couldn’t see my American mates doing.

These guys mostly wear speedos under their footy shorts but they are short.

Gives me an idea that Kip and I should have a speedo BBQ maybe up at A-Basin on the famous ‘beach’.  Anyone in Colorado interested in joining us?

My plans for the next 6 months

2 comments Posted by

A few weeks ago I was out in Breckenridge crashing with Kip and it got me thinking about what my plans are for the next 6 months or so.

The lease on my apartment here in San Francisco runs out on Nov 1st and although I’ve loved the city, the weather just isn’t nice enough by my standard of summer and I don’t really want to be here for winter.  I’d love to spend the northern winter down in the Caribbean or somewhere like that but I’ve never really been down there (been to Mexico a couple of times).  Heading back to Sydney is always on the cards but the US dollar is weak as all hell which makes a move back there pretty expensive.

The other option is to spend some more time with Kip in Breck.  That looks like the option I’m going to go with.  He has stacks of room in his house, although we end up sleeping in the same bed a fair bit of the time, we get a whole lot of work done when we are hanging out that much.  Some of our best ideas, business wise, have been developed while sitting on a chairlift.

So my plan is to leave here (San Francsico) on November 1st and drive east.  If the weather is good I might take my time, swing by Vegas but I’ll play that by ear.

Then, I’m thinking I might head back to the Central NSW Coast in early February.  Use the 3 months in Breckenridge to save as much money as I can and work on convincing you guys to join my site SwimmerBoyz.com.  That will be my rough plan – if the US dollar is only buying AUD0.80 then I’ll have to rethink it and maybe look at the Caribbean again.

Those are my plans and I hope to catch up with some of you guys along the way.

What to do, where to go….

It is that time again, where in the world is Dave Evan’s going to go.

Hanging out here in Colorado has been fantastic and definitely has given me an itch to get back to an Aussie summer.  Summer in San Fran hasn’t been as warm our as outdoorsy as I had hoped.  Although I love the city, spending a winter there doesn’t seem like me.

The darn US dollar is super cheap right now which makes it a lot more expensive for me to move back to Australia or New Zealand and I could spend another winter in Breckenridge with Kip as he has a spare room and we get a lot of work done when we are living under the same roof.

All these choices.

The least on my San Francisco apartment expires on Nov 1st so I could head out to the mountains for a couple of months, save some money and then head back to Australia in Jan/Feb and get the last of summer and not have to deal with the school holidays over there which are crazy on the Central NSW Coast.

I’d love to look into the Caribbean but I haven’t spent any time down there and don’t know the lay of the land which makes it a little tougher.

Either way – not a bad problem to have.  As a friend of mine says…. white people problems.

Birdie Beach

1 comment Posted by

I’ve heard (from blog readers email me) about a nude beach north of where I’m staying – it is called Birdie Beach.

The furtherest north beach I’ve been to is Soldiers Beach which is a beautiful spot but I’m told this Birdie Beach is just north of that.

When I woke up this morning (about 9am) I looked out my window and I thought the weather had cleared.  I jumped out of bed, quick shower, couple of cups of coffee and got stuck into some work that I had to get done this morning….

….now, it is bloody raining again!!!

Not really nude beach weather is it.

The forecast is better tomorrow so fingers crossed – back to work for me.  I might check out Grindr here this afternoon maybe since I didn’t have my usual wake-up-wank.

As expected the first 48hrs of my stay on the Central Coast has been crazy!!!

Poker on Friday night was great and fun catching up with everyone.  Most of the guys are married and starting families but 3 of the other ‘bachelors’ decided to hit the town and we walked down to the Terrigal Pub.  I can’t believe they let us in considering it was 11pm and we were all a touch inebriated.  I remember the bouncer at the door asking me if I’d had much to drink…. my reply was “So much that I can’t remember how many.”  Then the guy let me in – hahaha.

Saturday morning I was a little dusty and the weather was terrible so no surfing was on the cards.  By mid afternoon though the house was starting to fill up with people coming around to watch some AFL (these guys prefer league) and we are back on the beers.

Saturday nights party was an 80’s theme – since the birthday boy was born in ’82.  I didn’t have anything 80’s but everyone else dressed up pretty good.

There was talk of some of the guy taking me down to the Beery (Beer Garden) but by the time anyone got organised it was well after 1am!!!

So I got out of bed about an hour ago, watching the Sydney Swans and hanging out for some Godfather Pizza.

Hopefully the weather improves and I can get some speedo time on the beach.
