After a few days inside working and cleaning up the house – Kip and I got out for a hike this afternoon.
We went up to this old mining town called St. Johns. Picnic lunch, a couple of beers and 4hrs of hiking. It was a little colder today but it was gorgeous and what a wonderful place in the word. It actually reminded me of hiking in New Zealand with all the mining history.
I took my camera but the battery was flat – prolly should have checked it before leaving the house. So instead of scenic photos of the nature kind – you guys will just have to suffice with scenic pictures of the speedo kind.
I’ve had a great response from the FREE DE Swimwear offer members of SwimmerBoyz.com – I should be able to run this promo until the end of next week – I’ll keep you guys posted.
Enjoy the ‘scenic’ photos guys.

Sorry for not posting over the last couple of days guys – I decided on Friday morning to head over to the West Coast and hike into some natural hot springs. I was up early and saw that the weather forecast was perfect so I just packed up and jumped in the car.
It was nice to get off the grid and spend a couple of days in the bush. On Friday night I was the only person in the hut by the hot springs (which is a 5hr walk to) and enjoyed speedo’ing it up and having a few quiet drinks in the springs. Saturday I got up late and did a bit of exploring and some other groups came in to the hut and we ended up playing some cards and had a great night overall.
Yesterday, I walked out and drove back home and I feel refreshed and excited for a big week of work. I have a ridiculous amount of new movies to upload tomorrow (over 1 gig) which the members at SwimmerBoyz.com are going to love. I’ve made up some sample clips too which I’ll give you guys a link to laster in the week.
Well I better get back to it – I had a bit of a tumble in one of the creek crossings yesterday and really hurt my shoulder so I might have to lay off swimming for a few days which is a bummer but no biggy.
It can be ‘hard’ work when I’m looking at this kind of stuff all day….

This morning I woke up nice and early to a gorgeous day. Not a cloud in the sky, a little cool and not a breath of wind.
I hadn’t made any plans for the day but there was no way I could spend the day inside so I jumped in the car and headed down to Glenorchy where there are a bunch of hiking tracks (they call it ‘tramping’ in NZ). In the end I decided to shoot up the Routeburn Track (one of the ‘Great Walks’). I had been up there years and years ago and I was keen to see how far up I could get.
Surprisingly there was a little bit of snow up high which stopped me in my tracks but I had a great 7hr walk, there wasn’t many people about and I think I even got a little burnt.
I got the camera out a couple of times but these photos really don’t do it justice.

Hey guys,
This post is written the day after I went for my hike. I’m not going to share with you the exact details of where it was but it was a 7hr loop (which was supposed to take longer). I got up at 6am, drove over an hour and a half to the trail head. On the way there, the radio said there was a heavy rain and flood warning for the exact area that I was going.
Driving down there – it looked like the weather forecast was spot on.
It was before 8am, I was well awake, had all my gear so I thought I’d take it on. The first 4hrs of the hike was below the tree line on the northern side (wind was coming from the south). I figured as long as I turned around by 3:30pm in the arvo (afternoon) I could find my way back to the car – although that was something I would not have been happy with.
Because of the rain warning I didn’t take my camera – I was afraid it would get wet and I thought that I was racing the clock so I didn’t want to dick about.
I didn’t dick about but I will – the sign said it was a 10hr loop and I had parked my car 5kms away from the end of the loop… I was thinking 11hrs and maybe 13hrs at the worst. I was back at the car after 7hrs…. I was completely shagged, blistered, cold and wet in places I didn’t even know that existed.
Even though I was wet, it wasn’t from being rained on entirely. I was sweating during the climb and being rained on while having some part of me being cold all at the same time. It will take another 2 days to dry out my gear from the trip.
Since I didn’t take the camera and I did promise you guys some scenery photos – here are some that I personally took last year. I have some more New Zealand Hikes lined up in the next couple of weeks so I will get some more recent photos if you guys are keen (you have been quiet on the comments lately – comments are my only gauge that I am interesting).
Here are some New Zealand scenery photos that I took 12 months ago……
As a side note… the objective of my hike was to cross a pass. The first person to name this pass will receive a months subscription to SwimmerBoyz.com and BisexualGuyz.com as well as a pair of the new DESwimwear speedos (secret to be revealed next week).

Today I’m up super early (it is before 6am) and I’m off for a hike.
The weather is supposed to be a bit rainy this afternoon but I’m expecting that by then I won’t care about the rain but only the pain in my legs.
It is a bit of a mission but I will be back tomorrow – I’m so organised I have even packed the car already. I don’t post that many scenic photos on here but tomorrow I will. Have a good day guys.
In the meantime – we all love white speedos right?
