Two weeks to go

5 comments Posted by

It is two weeks until I leave San Francisco and today is looking like a cracker of a day.

I’ve got a stack of work to get done, a new HD page on SwimmerBoyz.com is something I’m working on right now and it should be live by the weekend.  I’ll tell you guys more about it when I’m ready to publish it.  I’ve also got a great idea for a mobile app which means I’ve got to start learning java.  It is an awesome idea but in my research I found out that it will only be able to run on Android because fucking Steve Jobs is censoring what adults do on their fones from the grave.  That is a bummer but I’m going to go ahead with it anyway and I’ll make a website that is super mobile friendly for those iPhone folks out there – I don’t want them to miss out.

I figure I’m going to work until about 11am then I need to get out and make the most of this gorgeous day.  I might ride through Golden Gate Park and go to the Cliff House for some oysters – anyone want to join me?

Thought I’d share these pics with you guys – I think if everyone in the world were speedo friendly, all of us, despite race or religion would get along.  Probably not but a nice thought anyway.  Some hot guys in this pic – I don’t like the guy with the butterly tattoo on his chest, looks terrible if you ask me.

Strike Three!!!

Struck out last night guys.  Was a nice evening and the ex-box was looking pretty good.  I actually ran into someone that I know which is the first time that has happened to me in the big smoke of San Francisco.

I thought I was in, but the end of the evening kinda fizzled so my flesh jack got a punishing when I got home.

Was an early night though and I’m up early today and I have a shit tonne of work to get done.  Tomorrow night I might go out with the boys but I’ll see what happens and I might go for a run this afternoon if this weather holds – it is pretty nice out.

My plans for the next 6 months

2 comments Posted by

A few weeks ago I was out in Breckenridge crashing with Kip and it got me thinking about what my plans are for the next 6 months or so.

The lease on my apartment here in San Francisco runs out on Nov 1st and although I’ve loved the city, the weather just isn’t nice enough by my standard of summer and I don’t really want to be here for winter.  I’d love to spend the northern winter down in the Caribbean or somewhere like that but I’ve never really been down there (been to Mexico a couple of times).  Heading back to Sydney is always on the cards but the US dollar is weak as all hell which makes a move back there pretty expensive.

The other option is to spend some more time with Kip in Breck.  That looks like the option I’m going to go with.  He has stacks of room in his house, although we end up sleeping in the same bed a fair bit of the time, we get a whole lot of work done when we are hanging out that much.  Some of our best ideas, business wise, have been developed while sitting on a chairlift.

So my plan is to leave here (San Francsico) on November 1st and drive east.  If the weather is good I might take my time, swing by Vegas but I’ll play that by ear.

Then, I’m thinking I might head back to the Central NSW Coast in early February.  Use the 3 months in Breckenridge to save as much money as I can and work on convincing you guys to join my site SwimmerBoyz.com.  That will be my rough plan – if the US dollar is only buying AUD0.80 then I’ll have to rethink it and maybe look at the Caribbean again.

Those are my plans and I hope to catch up with some of you guys along the way.

Presidential Debate Party

4 comments Posted by

Any of you guys who have been around here for a while know I love my politics but I try hard not to post on here about it too much.

If you don’t want to read my political ranting – I did post about an MMMF bisexual foursome fantasy that I’ve been having recently on my other blog www.BisexualDave.com – you can read that if you need your

Tonight one of my friends in town invited me to a party to watch the first Presidential Debate.  Being San Francisco, my political leanings are polar to most of my friends but that just makes it more fun and on most social issues, I’m left leaning.

I hate how the Republican Party here tries gay marriage and abortion to their main issues – from my perspective, a Republican in the White House can’t change either of those issues – the courts decide those issues or the states can by referrendums (or whatever you call a referrendum here in the US).  Unfortunately, the Liberal Party in Australia is going down this same road.  And rich old white guys should not be commenting on abortions – I’d love to see some Republican get an abortion question and simply say – “I shouldn’t comment on things of this nature.  In a vote, I’ll abstain and I trust the courts to decide the issue.”  Wouldn’t that be a breath of fresh air?

One other rant for today – voter ID.  I understand that this will ‘help’ the Republican Party because the Democrats generally get the vote of younger people, minorities (didn’t Obama get 98% of the black vote in 2008 – that to me is racist in itself).  However, you can’t do ANYTHING without photo ID these days and for the sake of the integrity of the voting system, I believe you should have to provide ID.  Every single time I go to the liquor store here in my neighbourhood – I can’t get a 6 pack without an ID.  I’d never dream of driving here in the US without my drivers licence, my bank here asked me for ID to pull out cash from my account (despite having my debit card) and you can’t go near an aeroplane without ID obviously.

Now, if it is too difficult for old or poor people to get photo ID – that is a seperate problem.  Don’t bring into question the election process because the bureacracy terrible.  That is horrible if someone can’t get photo ID because of all the things I just mentioned are not available to those people.  I’m sure minorities and old people would like to grab a 6 pack of beer every now and then.

Just my 2 cents worth – I promise to get back to the speedos tomorrow.  I did post about a bisexual MMMF foursome fantasy that I’ve been having recently over on my other blog – www.BisexualDave.com.

Back in San Francisco

5 comments Posted by

Hey guys – I just walked in the door and it is a gorgeous day here in San Francisco.  The last few days in Colorado it was kinda raining and starting to feel like winter but this definitely feels more like summer.

I’ve got some technical reading to do that Kip gave me for a new project so I’m going to head up to Alamo Square with a hip flask and do some reading in the sun.

Looks like something happened with the database on TheSpeedoForum.com but Kip will fix that up this afternoon when he gets back to the office.  I’ve been a little slack on blog posts but I’m sure those guys who are members of SwimmerBoyz.com will be appreciating the time that I’ve been spending on that site.  There is a major update that I’ve got to spent about 10, maybe 20 hours on which I’m hoping to get done this weekend.  I had been asked to head north up to Napa with some friends but I really want to get on top of some of this work stuff.  Being busy means I’m making money though so I don’t mind the late nights.

After a few D&M’s (deep and meaningfuls) I think I’ve figured out what my travel/living movements will be for the next 9 months or so – I’ll run it by you guys in the next few days.

I better get up to the park – I know being San Francisco I could strip down to my speedos and work on my tan but I just don’t think I can pull that off.  Maybe I need to get a bunch of you guys and organise an inner city speedo tanning session.

What to do, where to go….

It is that time again, where in the world is Dave Evan’s going to go.

Hanging out here in Colorado has been fantastic and definitely has given me an itch to get back to an Aussie summer.  Summer in San Fran hasn’t been as warm our as outdoorsy as I had hoped.  Although I love the city, spending a winter there doesn’t seem like me.

The darn US dollar is super cheap right now which makes it a lot more expensive for me to move back to Australia or New Zealand and I could spend another winter in Breckenridge with Kip as he has a spare room and we get a lot of work done when we are living under the same roof.

All these choices.

The least on my San Francisco apartment expires on Nov 1st so I could head out to the mountains for a couple of months, save some money and then head back to Australia in Jan/Feb and get the last of summer and not have to deal with the school holidays over there which are crazy on the Central NSW Coast.

I’d love to look into the Caribbean but I haven’t spent any time down there and don’t know the lay of the land which makes it a little tougher.

Either way – not a bad problem to have.  As a friend of mine says…. white people problems.
