I think I’ve already had a White Speedo Monday but there are just sooooooo many white speedo photos out there.

I just found out that I was on TV – it was the Gruen Planet (it is a media watch kind of program – I do watch it but I missed that episode).  Would have been funny if a bunch of my str8 mates were in the house when it came on and it mentioned “Dave Evans, bisexual blogger” – I’m not sure I would have been able to contain myself and just start dancing saying “THAT’s ME, THAT’s ME, THAT’s ME!!!!”

I’m pretty sure my folks watch it but I don’t think they’ll put the two together.  The comment on the TV show was “Who else wears speedos but gay guys!!!” and a general consensus that the blog was doing good things for the ‘Speedo’ brand.

I did recieve an email from the Evil Speedo Corporations lawyers.  I can program in 4 different languages but this thing reads like double-dutch to me.  I have no idea what it means other than it is bad.  They want the AussieSpeedoGuy.org domain name.  So for the last few months I’ve been running this site on AussieSpeedoGuy.org – in the next 24hrs Kip will change it over so only the new one works.

This way hopefully anyone who has this in their favourites will be able to update it before they steal it from me.

One thing I did pick up in the legal jargon was that the judge didn’t read my email to him.  He said he received it but he chose not to read it.  A quote from the judge “Little reliance can, in any event, be placed upon email communications.”  The judge seemed to accept blog posts of mine from months and even years back as evidence but when I sent him a personal email (which is easy to trace) it was not admissable.  Strange.

Anyway, as I mentioned before I’m up for the Speedo Corporations legal fees.  Perhaps I’ll just have to quote the judge, and tell them that little reliance can be placed upon emails. They can deliver the bill in person.  When they deliver the bill in person, I’ll be able to give them my snowboard, my laptop, the shirt off my back and the speedos I’ll be wearing.

All good fun if it wasn’t so serious.

Wow I can’t believe it is Thursday already – where the hell did the week go?

I saw the doctor earlier in the week and he gave me the all clear.  I asked if I could go snowboarding for a week or so and he said that was fine.  Whoohooo!!!!  I’m back to 100% – a rather unpleasant 3 weeks of my life but all good now which is the most important part.

There has been one interesting development over the last couple of days – the Speedo Corporate isn’t happy about me using the first part of their name, the ‘Speedo’ part, not the Corporation part.

It is no big deal (I’m not sure how they can take me to court in Australia when the sites are owned and run offshore).

I do understand their point BUT my use of the word speedo is in a generic sense – how many photos on this site feature ‘Speedo’ brand speedos?  Maybe 10%?

Anyways – I’ll talk about this a little more later.

Over the last couple of months I’ve been fighting the evil Speedo Corporation over my domain name ‘AussieSpeedoGuy.com’.

They claimed it was infringing on their copyright….

My opinion is that the word speedo is a generic term and particularly used in the context of this blog this Aussie Speedo Guy could be wearing AussieBum’s, ADIDAS, Nike, Tyr or any other of the many speedo manufacturers.

Unforunately, I didn’t win but I didn’t expect to either – they stole the domain SpeedoBoyz.com off me a few years ago.

I’m madly emailing fellow bloggers who have me on their blogroll to changed to AussieSpeedoGuy.org.

If you have me in your favourites it might pay to change it to AussieSpeedoGuy.org as well – I’m not 100% sure of when exactly they’ll steal the domain but it is imminent.

It has been a few days since I posted – sorry guys.

I got back on Monday afternoon from spending the weekend with Will in Sydney – everytime I see him I enjoy our time together, and I don’t think that it is just all the speedo/sucking/fucking we do).

The weather has been nice on the coast though and I’m not sure I could handle living in the big smoke when there are places this beautiful and laid back out there – if anyone wants to offer me a million bucks to work in the big smoke….. I can live with the memories of the beach I’m sure – hahaha.

I’ve got a bunch of work stuff to finish off this week and tomorrow I’ve got a bunch of paperwork crap to get on top of – the evil Speedo corporation wants to take some domains names off me (SpeedoSexuality.com and AussieSpeedoGuy.com is the other one).  You might have noticed that when you come here the domain changes to AussieSpeedoGuy.org – I’m not really sure if I’m gay or just fine being bi so AussieBiGuy.com will work as well.  Hopefully the domain name authority will realies that ‘speedo’ is used in this context as a ‘generic’ term and not brand specific – I think there are a lot more AussieBum Speedos shown and discussed on this blog than actual ‘Speedo Brand’ speedos.

So tomorrow I’m going to drive a couple of beaches north and find a nice quiet spot in the dunes, work on my speedo tan and do all that boring stuff.

Lately I have been seeing a stack of photos of guys wearing speedo solars – and the guys have been very hot indeed!!!

For those of you not in the know… the Speedo Solar is a make of Speedos which has a narrow waist and a seam down the middle.  They are much skimpier than normal speedos and are quite easy to pick out with the centre seam.

I remember at one point they were quite difficult to buy but they seem in abundance these days.

In storage in New Zealand I left my first and only ever pair of Speedo Solars (black with blue writing) and they are a little tight for me (32 – I wear 34’s and 36’s if I want a loose fit).  However, last year I did wear them once to the pool after being talked into it.

I haven’t worn them in the pool this year but after seeing these guys here…. they have given me the courage to sack up and wear them in public.  I promise I’ll wear them to the pool tomorrow.
