I have seen a few guys posting/sharing their ADIDAS 3-Stripe speedo selfies (check out the SpeedoForum.org).  They are a classic and one of my all time favourite speedos.

Currently I only have one pair of ADIDAS 3-Stripe speedos, the ones pictured below with the red logo and stripes.  I can’t remember if I have a pair of the classic white sided ones in storage at Kip’s place in Colorado or not.

Today I will wear my ADIDAS speedos to the pool.

If I look back of time, my speedo purchases have definitely been influenced by seeing hot guys wearing them.  Either models or amateur guys.  Right now I have a few pair of ADDICTED speedos and it is definitely because of all the pics popping up of real guys wearing them.

My Turbo speedos that I wear to waterpolo, that purchase (they are pretty expensive) was influenced by some very hot guys (often the header image on the blog here).

How about you guys?  What influences your speedo purchases?

First up, these are the speedos I’m going to wear to the pool today.  Adidas 3-stripe, with red stripes.  These just fit perfect and I love the lycra material….

I have these in black and I often wear them when I am working on my speedo tan in private because they are a little smaller.  Still suitable for the pool for lap swimming but only just.  The ‘Arena’ on the front of them does crack and is falling apart.

I don’t have as many AussieBum’s in my collection as I used to.  I bought four pairs of just classic AussieBum’s for lap swimming but they don’t seem to last very well colour wise.  I just checked, I have a navy pair that are nearly as faded as the pair below, and a hot pink pair which the colour runs so I have to be really careful where I wear them.

I own a pair of these Arena speedos in the exact same colour.  They are too small to be worn at the public pool but they feel amazing.  I think they are in a box of my things at Kip’s place in Colorado….

I shared some pics of my Turbo speedos that I was wearing at waterpolo training (before I passed my initiation).

Years ago I bought 2 pairs of Turbo speedos and they are the first Turbo’s that I’ve ever owned. They brand themselves as a waterpolo speedo and they seem really heavy duty. The material isn’t lycra but it is shiny and has a nice feel like lycra – perhaps someone from Turbo is reading this and can email me the details. The sizing is a little bit different though – at the same time I bought a pair of Arena lycra speedos of the same size – they Turbo’s are considerable smaller and being a more heavy duty material, they don’t stretch as much either. Next time I’ll go a tiny bit bigger than my usual size.

Here are some old photos I have of my Aussie flag Turbo speedos.  I don’t have them anymore which is a shame, but I am still in contact with the hot American guy that I gave them to… one day I’ll get to see them again (wink, wink).

For years I’ve had a little bit of a love/hate relationship with AussieBum speedos…. I loved their classic nylon speedos and I’ve had some amazing experiences, particularly with the AussieBum Portseas (pictured below – members can see the full gallery of my speedo selfies).

I feel recently AussieBum has gone a bit too ‘funky’, a bit too ‘gay’ with their speedos and 95% of my collection I buy because I would like to be able to wear them to the public pool for laps.

Earlier this week I was sent these Camo speedos by a member.  And I love them!!!

They aren’t the nylon which AussieBum is famous for, they are a beautiful, light lycra and the fit is just perfect.

I woke up this morning and they had this effect on me (again, members can see how I solved this ‘morning boner’ problem).

Yesterday I had to help out a friend of mines Dad go to some medical appointments (my friend is travelling so out of town).  I picked the old boy up and we had a little time to kill between appointments so headed to the beautiful Maroochydore Surf Life Saving Club for a quick lunch.

This building is right on the beach and on the ocean side is completely windows.  It is a nice spot.

While we had lunch we saw the usually array of chicks in g-strings (seems like the new normal here this summer) and the old boy and I joked that we both might need our hearts checked seeing some of the young ladies beach attire.

There were a few guys in speedos about as well (which I kept the comments to myself).  Most looked like life saving guys.

Just before we were about to leave this couple (maybe 30yo) walked out from the equipment sheds with surf skis (paddle boards). They were both wearing their Surf CLub uniforms, hers a two piece athletic bikini and him wearing speedos that looks like they were spray painted on they were so tight.

It really was a beautiful sight….
