I have never owned a pair of green speedos.  Kind of odd but I suppose black, blue and red are a lot more common.

With that in mind, I was topping up my collection of ‘swimming’ speedos (ie speedos that I can wear in public to the public pool) and thought I would try a pair of green speedos.

Now I have them in green, blue and black (I actually ruined my first pair of black ones of these cutting out the lining and I ‘slipped’ which was a bummer).

Yesterday was a gorgeous, early winters, day here so I headed to one of my secret quiet beach spots for the morning.  The purpose was to test out my new green speedos.

If I look back of time, my speedo purchases have definitely been influenced by seeing hot guys wearing them.  Either models or amateur guys.  Right now I have a few pair of ADDICTED speedos and it is definitely because of all the pics popping up of real guys wearing them.

My Turbo speedos that I wear to waterpolo, that purchase (they are pretty expensive) was influenced by some very hot guys (often the header image on the blog here).

How about you guys?  What influences your speedo purchases?

First up, these are the speedos I’m going to wear to the pool today.  Adidas 3-stripe, with red stripes.  These just fit perfect and I love the lycra material….

I have these in black and I often wear them when I am working on my speedo tan in private because they are a little smaller.  Still suitable for the pool for lap swimming but only just.  The ‘Arena’ on the front of them does crack and is falling apart.

I don’t have as many AussieBum’s in my collection as I used to.  I bought four pairs of just classic AussieBum’s for lap swimming but they don’t seem to last very well colour wise.  I just checked, I have a navy pair that are nearly as faded as the pair below, and a hot pink pair which the colour runs so I have to be really careful where I wear them.

I own a pair of these Arena speedos in the exact same colour.  They are too small to be worn at the public pool but they feel amazing.  I think they are in a box of my things at Kip’s place in Colorado….

Good morning guys (Monday here), I’ve had a crazy hectic few weeks but this morning I woke up in my own bed, on top of some personal/family things, on top of some financial things and I’m excited for six weeks of being home in my routine.

Sounds like a boring Xmas/New Years, but I like the idea of a boring Xmas/New Years.

Quick blog post this morning before I go for a swim.

A speedo company that has been around for a few years, and one who has NEVER replied to my attempts to touch base with them, emailed me (a promo email, not specifically for me) advertising a Xmas special of $40 off a pair of speedos.  Like us all, I get lots of emails but the $40 off stuck in my head and I thought maybe I’d buy a pair for Xmas.  I remember the last time I checked this brands website their speedos were expensive but the $40 should make them OK.

$40 off a $150 pair of speedos still makes there WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!!!!

That is what I think anyway, what do you guys think?

I think the most expensive speedo I have in my current collection is a $60 Q Swimwear speedo.  I wore it to the pool yesterday and it is more of a waterpolo speedo, the feel of it is tough and durable.

Needless to say, I didn’t take up the offer of the $110 speedo.

I have owned one pair of these speedos and here are some speedo selfies of me wearing them (full gallery for members of course).

When it is sunny I find it easy to get to the pool.  I figure I’m working out and working on my speedo tan at the same time.  But day like today, where it is a little rainy and cloudy I stuggle.

Had I known there would be a cutie in red speedos in the lane next to me…. it wouldn’t have been so hard.

It has been a little while since I updated the ‘My Speedo Selfies‘ page on here.

So I did something about it….. had to add a bunch of photos of my Q-Swimwear speedos and my new Addicted speedos.

I have a brand new pair of ADIDAS three stripe speedos (red stripes, not white this time) but I haven’t had a chance to take any selfies of me in them yet.  Any nice weather/beach day we have had, the beach is super busy because of bloody school holidays – which has been extended for 2 more weeks because of COVID.

Usually this entire gallery is for members only but since I just updated it I’ll leave it open for the public for a few days.
