I’m not sure why but I’m up nice and early, strange for a Sunday.  The boys are coming over at about 7am for a surf.  Looking a little overcast so might be wetsuit weather again.

I really think it is a shame that I can’t go surfing in a speedo.  I think I’d wear my Turbo speedos (like the guy in the header image) since they are a more heavy duty material.

These guys don’t mind surfing in their speedos.

The thing that annoys me about nto being able to surf in speedos is that the surf life saving guys can.  Even the surf boy guys, who are normally pretty masculine guys, they always wear speedos.

I found some more pics of the guy in the header.  He is gorgeous and I love the Turbo speedo he is wearing.  You guys know I bought that same speedo but I don’t look as good as he does in mine.  Saying that though, mine fit pretty similar, just a little bit too small.  They look and feel great when they are low on my hips but don’t allow too much room for my junk.

I still haven’t worn this speedo to the pool.  I might have to make an effort to get it out.

I think these might be my next speedo purchase.

Over the last couple of weeks I’ve ordered some new speedos and today they arrived.  I’m still waiting on a black lycra thong but I couldn’t wait for it to give you guys this update.

My new speedos are a pair of red Arena speedos, I have a black and navy pair that I use at the pool all the time.  For some weird reason I realised that I didn’t have a pair of red speedos in my collection so I had to correct it.  I think I can pull off wearing a red speedo at the pool for some lap swimming.

The 2nd new pair of speedos is the turbo speedos.  I love the photo of them which is the new header for this blog so I had to get some.  These are my 2nd pair of Turbo speedos which is more of a waterpolo brand.  The first pair I bought were the Aussie flag ones which I sent to one of my content producers (I’ll post those pics later in the week).  My first experience with Turbo was how small they are.  I bought a large and they were too small to wear except for short periods before getting them off in the bedroom.  This time I bought an X-Large and they are still a snug fit.  Compared to AussieBum, which I have a pair of blue classic (in the picture below) that are size 16 and they are about the same fit as the Turbo XL.

This is the first pair of ‘funky’ speedos that I have so I can’t wait to wear them to the pool.  Being a waterpolo speedo the material feels very heavy duty.

I’m just about to head off to the pool for some laps with Alex.  I didn’t see him over the weekend but we went for a swim on Monday and he is definitely more chirpy after we had a chat about things on Friday.  Might also be that Alex’s protein levels were low and I helped him out with that – hehehe.

After those horrible speedos last week – (the baby vomit coloured AussieBums), I thought I’d post some fun speedos.

Looks like a few companies lately have been releasing these graffiti/fun speedos which I think is great and hopefully it will get more guys wearing them.  In my current speedo collection I don’t have any fun speedos – I have speedos that I can swim laps in or I have speedos that are only appropriate for the bedroom.  I think I should look into getting some.

I’m not sure who makes those speedos in the first photo, the 2nd photo is a pair of Turbo’s which I really like – they are about $40 and the bottom ones are from 2wink which is an Aussie company but they are $50!!!!  I don’t know about you guys but $50 is getting a little expensive for a pair of speedos.

Which ones would you choose?

I’ve never owned, worn or ever seen a pair of purple speedos in the flesh.

I was thinking of buying some purple AussieBum club as a fun/funky speedo but I think I’m going to go with one of the cartoon Turbo speedo designs.

Any of you guys wear/own purple speedos?

I’ve got a stack of work to get back on top of so I think that instead of heading down to the pub I might behave myself tonight.  Could be quite strange not going out on a Friday……
